Premier Financial Search is an an Executive Search firm that specializes in the placement of Accounting and Finance professionals in  public accounting, business management, and opportunities in the private sector.We have over 35 years combined search experience in the Southern California marketplace.We are currently recruiting for a medium sized manufacturing client in the LA area seeking to hire a hands on Controller.The duties include the management of all of the day to day accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, payroll prep, invoicing, collections, financials, cost accounting, inventory control, etc. Other duties will include interaction with the outside CPA firm and some interaction with the client's operations outside of LA.Other duties include establising policies and procedures to put controls in place in the areas of cost, labor, materials, etc. Client uses ISO 9001 and is a process cost shop using BOM.The position reports to the CFO and will have interaction with all departments, including production, sales, outside vendors, etc.The ideal candidate will be a degreed accountant with a CPA and minimum 7-10 years experience with a small to medium sized company as the Controller, client wants a hands on person, who will roll up the sleeves and become involved in all of the details of the finance area.Must be proficient in software from the manufacturing side, and be able to react quickly in a very competitive industry, and supply data to senior management quickly and accurately. Client will be in an acquisition mode, so M&A experience is also desired. Candidates must be US citizens and have degrees acquired from colleges in the US, no relo package is available, so out the area candidates will not be considered.Client offers a competitive comp package including base, bonus, 401k, insurance, vacation, etc.The new Controller will be in charge of creating an updated bonus incentive plan for the client.
