Control Assurance Senior Manager Deloitte & Touche LLP's ("Deloitte & Touche's") Audit and Enterprise Risk Services business has risk-based approach, experienced professionals, comprehensive methodologies, and technical resources. Deloitte & Touche's services combine competency and experience in the areas of financial reporting, risk management, and compliance. Within Deloitte & Touche, our Control Assurance practice identifies, develops, and tests internal control policies and procedures within business process and information technology environments. These services may be provided as part of an internal audit or audit of financial statements, or as individual projects resulting from major organizational changes, implementation of new technologies, or reliance on third-party service providers. In addition, we provide assurance in connection with custom system development projects and applications requiring the testing of data quality and integrity. Companies face an increasing variety of internal control requirements today, including those associated with Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as other industry and control requirements. Our Control Assurance practice works with organizations to effectively leverage controls to meet requirements and to benefit the business. Services include: • Compliance Controls Reviews, including readiness services for addressing requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley • Data Quality and Analysis • System Project Assurance Responsibilities: • Provide engagement management and/or participate in development of methodology • Play lead role in client retention, relationship building, and communication • Play lead role in internal and external communication/deliverable quality including technical content of reports, proposals, etc. • Demonstrate high level of understanding of client's business • Demonstrate strong knowledge in industry or functional specialty • Mold the individuals on the engagement into a team • Play lead role in management planning, economics, and billing • Meet assigned sales target/team sales targets • Membership and visibility in professional & civic organizations • Participate in proposal development efforts • High visibility in functional or industry specialty • Publication in designated areas • Responsible for oversight or advisee training and development program • Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others • Play substantive/lead role in retention of Deloitte & Touche professionals and in building staff complement, mix, and recruiting • Play substantive/lead role in developing a strong relationship with internal resources - BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems Administration or related field; Masters in Accounting or Information Systems, or MBA a plus - CPA, CIA®, CISA certification is a plus - 10+ years experience in the areas of public accounting, internal auditing or consulting - SAP, Oracle or PeopleSoft controls experience desirable - Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and/or COSO is a plus - Advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards - Experience with accounting control related issues - Strong technical and/or management background in technical systems/environments - Demonstrated ability to plan and manage engagements along with ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines. - Successful experience identifying controls, developing and executing test plans - Demonstrated ability to plan marketing programs, create and direct proposal, and presentation efforts - Excellent written and oral communications skills - Open to travel requirements About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
