THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall Objective:
The objective of the Senior/Staff Accountant is to assure that the Quickbooks Accounting System is properly maintained and all information is properly documented and supported in compliance within Corporate Guidelines and Audit, GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
General Duties:Assist in preparing month end closing procedures. Prepare month end accruals, accrual reversals, and standard month end entries, as needed and/or directed by Accounting Mgmt. Balance all bank statements in a timely manner. Make sure that all Fixed Assets are properly depreciated and accounted for in accordance with GAAP and Corporate Policy. Verify each day that all entries into the system have the proper supporting documents and source files. Process all customer invoices accurately and on a timely basis. Process all claims, agent, dealer, broker, insurance companies and other production receivables with the highest priority. Ensure that all invoices have been properly coded and authorized prior to processing. Process credit memos and verify that all supporting documentation has been properly provided and approved. At all times, safeguard the assets of the corporation. Process all vendor invoices accurately and on a timely basis. Process all claims, agent, dealer, broker, insurance companies and other production payee's with the highest priority. Ensure that all invoices have been properly coded and authorized prior to processing. Verify that invoices that require purchase orders and receiving reports have been properly been presented. Process all employee expense reports after verification and approval. rocess check requests and verify that all supporting documentation has been properly provided).This is strictly contract and would end in about 18-24 months based on work load.Required Skills
Requirements:
The Senior/Staff Accountant must hold, at a minimum, a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and should have at least three years experience in a corporate environment in a function similar, or above, to the position being described. This position requires prior Quickbooks experience and proficiency.
