We currently have an opportunity for a Contract Cost Accountant to join us! This role has responsibility for collecting, analyzing, and reporting costs related to US inventory and gross margins and will report to the Manager of Cost Accounting.



ResponsibilitiesMaintain standard costs.Map product codes and maintain cost accounting item master records.Close US work orders and analyze work order variances.Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, analysis, and reporting related to US inventory and gross margins.Conduct in field and in-house physical inventory counts, the associated reconciliations, and record and report the results.Provide support for internal and external audits.Support and implement process improvements relative to the job responsibilities.Conduct research and/or problem solving in support of functional activities. Assist with SAP implementationComply with Sarbanes-Oxley testing and requirements.Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.









Qualifications:



Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance0 – 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience in a standard costing environment Basic knowledge of ERP systems and the interrelationships of the various functional modules (BOM, GL, INV, etc.). SAP and Hyperion experience highly preferredUS travel required (10%)Strong understanding of current US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley complianceNormally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new projects or assignmentsStrong time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentHands-on, proactive mentality with desire and ability to seek out and implement best practicesAbility to analyze raw information, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendationsUses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issuesExercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actionAbility to foster collaboration and communication across diverse global and cross-functional teamsAbility to work independently and with a teamAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks Strong attention to detail and accuracyStrong computer skills, including MS Excel and WordStrong verbal and written communication skills
