Due to explosive growth in our Chicago office, we are looking for a Consulting Manager– Finance and Accounting Services.

 

The Finance and Accounting Services (“FASâ€�) division of SEG is a rapidly growing practice.  Our FAS practice is staffed with experienced consultants who provide our clients with comprehensive accounting assistance or technical consultations on accounting and SEC compliance matters in support of general ledger accounting, financial reporting and other special project initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:Ensuring a superior level of client service and are accountable for the day-to-day delivery of consulting servicesEstablish and monitor client expectations, assure the seamless delivery of service by all team members, provide technical expertise and act as an additional resource to our clientsAssist in the proactive development of tools, methodology, training, and other resources needed to assure effective client serviceOversee consultant teams that provide comprehensive support to our clients ranging from advice and consultation on complex SEC, US GAAP or tax compliance matters, accounting for mergers, acquisitions and other transaction-related services to interim resources that support daily activities (i.e., staff augmentation)Identify additional needs and anticipate future direction of client business

 

Requirements:

 Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is requiredAdvanced degrees are highly desirableCombination of Public Accounting (preferably Big 4) and accomplishment driven industry experienceAt least 10 years professional experience CPA a MUSTTalented and credentialed (CIA, CISA, CFSA, CFE, etc.)Extensive financial and reporting experience required, including performing monthly, quarterly and year-end closesSEC reporting experienceExperience with mergers & acquisitions, due diligence, IPO’s, Private equity transactions, company valuation, treasury and cash management desirableMust be current on industry practices and trendsEffective management experience required Strong oral and written communication skillsHigh level of professionalism and business acumenStrong client service orientationEnthusiastic team player Convey sense of urgency and ambition to succeedAbility to think strategically and conceptually
