Consultant - Accounting & Finance Vision Consultant

Deltek is seeking a Vision Accounting & Finance Consultant reporting to the Consulting Manager. This position will serve as a knowledgeable consultant on product implementations for Deltek Services clients, participating in the day-to-day operations of implementations as assigned and displaying and executing a basic understanding of the technical, functional and interface impacts of various implementation scenarios. This revenue generating position has performance metrics tied to results and utilization and will require extensive travel, up to 100%. Deltek is focused on our employees’ professional development and will provide technical and functional product training as well as consultative skills training.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



* Under general direction, the successful candidate will perform multiple work assignments including: configuring, testing, documenting, and implementing systems and/or software. In addition, this individual will apply Deltek Services project and consulting methods and processes. Further, this person will be instrumental in determining work priorities in accordance with project plans, project schedules, changing work demands and consulting policies and practices and will escalate as appropriate.

* Our consultants apply analytical and technical thinking within areas of assigned responsibility and resolve routine client issues and challenges by identifying possible alternatives, and providing recommendations. In addition, they will be asked to research software implementation issues and provide detail and preliminary recommendations to their project lead (or designated representative).

* Members of the Deltek Services team assist the entire Deltek consulting team in ensuring client requirements are met by actively soliciting, identifying, and responding to customer questions and assisting with issue resolution. We expect that our consultants take ownership of assigned issues and follows through on commitments.

* This individual will work collaboratively and build relationships with other consultants, customer staff, and third-party consultants.

* This individual will be assigned and responsible for other duties as assigned.



Education & Experience:



* Must possess 1 - 5 years of professional consulting services experience.

* Must possess 0 - 20 years of industry experience.

* B.A./B.S. or equivalent work experience or technical and/or product knowledge comparable to four year degree in a related area.

* Advanced degree or professional certification(s) preferred.

* Experienced with all aspects of Microsoft Office products.

* Prior travel-related experience preferred (travel up to 100%).



Technical Knowledge & Skills:



* Possesses a solid in-depth knowledge of one Deltek product and working knowledge of one or more functional modules within a product

* Adept at designing and implementing technology enabled business solutions for clients

* Able to apply a variety of DGS tools, techniques, methods, processes and practices to varied assignments

* Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities and work with general direction

* Possess evidence of the ability to develop best practices, guides and processes

* Deltek Vision experience preferred

* Other relevant ERP experience preferred: SAP, BAAN, Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, Timberline, Jamis, JD Edwards, Solomon, Lawson, Advantage, Sema4, FMS, Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains, Peachtree, Clearview, Maconomy, Elite

* Cost Accounting, Project Accounting, Architecture and Engineering, Resource Planning, ERP Consultant, Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, CPA, MBA preferred
