Company with Great Work/Life Balance seeks a Senior Accountant
A very Prestigious Investment Firm in Dallas seeks a Senior Accountant with a Solid undestanding of GAAP Principles to join their Fast Growing Firm. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions · Prepare and process period journal entries and invoices · Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts· Research and analyze accounting issues such as income and balance sheet variances· Maintain fixed asset ledgers to ensure items are properly capitalized and depreciated· Assist with semi-monthly expense report reimbursement process· Assist Controller in ensuring accurate financial reporting by assisting with monthly close process, including identifying, preparing, and processing accrual entries, as well as prepaid asset entries, and related amortization schedules.· Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data and performing ad hoc analysis for various accounts and departments · Provide information and schedules to management and external auditors, when needed· Research actual to budget variances· Assist in the preparation of annual budgetsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS· Degree in accounting or finance preferred · Three years of relevant accounting and/or financial reporting experience· Solid understanding of general accounting principles· A solid knowledge of MS Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
