Collections Specialist for a Law Firm

Accounting Principals specializing in the placement of accounting and financial professionals is currently seeking a Collections Specialist for a contract to hire opportunity with a dynamic company.  Our client, located in the Downtown Dallas area is seeking a Collections Specialist for a law firm on a contract to hire opportunity to join there progressive group of employees. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:  Â·  MUST have minimum of 3 years collection experience (preferably 5 years) with a law firm·  MUST be extremely polished and professional·  Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel·  Willing to work some evenings and weekends·  Ability to analyze problems, recognizes the significance thereof, and takes appropriate action·  Familiarity with A/R collection software and AS/400·  Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred The Collections Specialist will be responsible for: ·  Reviewing client accounts; discussing status of slow paying and/or delinquent accounts with attorneys and secretaries, where appropriate, and take action based upon department policies and procedures·  Make calls to clients based upon pre-determined procedures documenting status using “collection softwareâ€�·  Respond to incoming phone calls and e-mail from clients and/or attorneys·  Negotiate payment plans and/or settlements-subject to Collections Manager’s approval·  Prepare reports which reflect client account status and other reports as necessary Compensation range for this opportunity is up to $16.80.  If you are a team-player with good initiative, and are seeking an opportunity to grow with a solid, stable organization, this could be the job for you! For immediate consideration please email your resume with salary requirments to   dallas.downtown@accountingprincipals.com  Include the job title in the subject line.  To learn more about our current opportunities, please visit us on the web at www.accountingprincipals.com.
