Collection/ Credit Analyst

The Collection/Credit Analyst is responsible for assisting with internal controls development, departmental process engineering/reengineering, documentation and process improvement, including reporting for the organization.

Job Responsibilities


Collection Analyst
•Assist accounts receivable with cash receipts, risk assessment and reporting
•Ensure customer accounts are current
•Maintain cash collections and account reconciliation
•Monitor customer delinquency, account research and dispute resolution
•Perform bad debt risk analysis to ensure appropriate risk, thresholds and risk mitigation are in place and maintained
•Recommend and develop internal procedures to improve existing controls, processes and procedures
•Perform a variety of complex tasks and will become project lead when directed

Credit Analyst
•Evaluate new and existing customer and partner credit worthiness
•Determine appropriate credit risk, credit thresholds and credit risk mitigation
•Prepare credit packages and communicate credit analysis to other departments
•Evaluate specific customer, contractual, financial, banking and sales documentation according to Bandwidth.com Credit Policy & Procedure and Industry Best Practices & Standards.
•Performs a variety of complex tasks and will become project lead when directed


 

Job Requirements

 

Job Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required
•Professional designation is a plus
•2 - 5 years of experience with telecommunications or similar industry is preferred
•Proven knowledge of MS Office 2007, specifically MS Excel 2007, MS Access and Power Point presentation skills strongly desired
•Proven experience with ACCPAC and financial reporting packages strongly desired
•Excellent oral and written communications skills are required
•Ability to work under pressure on multiple assignments, with strong attention to detail
•Ability to work with minimal direction, as well as in a team environment
•A wide degree of creativity and analytical competency is expected and required

Specific for Credit Analyst position:
•Previous credit analyst experience is strongly desired.
•Proven experience with Salesforce, Big Machines and ACCPAC strongly desired.
