Exelon is seeking a Capital / Outage Analyst who will manage the capital planning, approval, and expenditure management processes for Exelon Power. This role also provides outage cost tracking support across fleet. Primary duties and Accountabilities will include being responsible for managing the capital approval process including publishing annual calendar of projects, scheduling of monthly screening and approval meetings, ensuring that all projects documentation conform to the process and meet Sarbox requirements, and maintains meeting minutes / approval paperwork. This role will also be responsible for managing the capital expenditure management process including the administration of capital database, publishing capital statistics compliance report, and working with project managers to rectify non-compliant projects. Additionally, the Capital / Outage Analyst will be responsible for managing the capital closeout and post-implementation appraisal processes and facilitates the overall capital planning for long range planning including design/distribution of capital template, variance to previous year capital plans, and prioritization of fleet-wide capital. Support site financial analysts to ensure compliance with the Exelon Power outage cost tracking process will also be a part of this role as will support of standardized outage closeout procedures and financial reporting. Finally this role will work with Asset optimization Business Analyst to ensure capital investment analysis is in line with asset optimization studies. The successful candidate will have a BS in accounting or finance with 2+ years professional experience, financial analysis exposure and an understanding of financial metrics and financial statement relationships. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are essential to this role. Strong written and oral communication skills and adaptability to quick paced, changing environment and also important. Finally candidates must be able to handle multiple tasks and ambiguity. Preferred skills include Knowledge of capital planning and reporting. POSITION SCOPE Position reports to Supervisor, Financial Planning and Analysis.
