CPA/CFO/Controller

Growing small business consulting firm is seeking an experienced CPA to work with our clients in the Fairfield County, CT and Hudson Valley, NY regions.

Qualified candidates should have at least 5 years of recent experience in the following areas:

Preparation of Payroll and Sales Tax Returns (CT and/or NY).
Full-charge bookkeeping in QuickBooks (Peachtree experience also helpful).
Income tax preparation experience strongly preferred by not essential.

CPAs with recent, solid audit and/or small business and personal income tax preparation experience given first consideration. Prior supervision of staff also preferred.

This very diverse position will involve working with company staff in a CFO/Controller capacity, as well as providing consulting services to our clients in the following areas:

Virtual CFO/CEO
Virtual Controller
Business Planning
QuickBooks training and support
Financial data file cleanup
Internal Control development and documentation
Resolution of IRS and other tax agencies inquiries

This position reports to the owner of the company, and is very visible. Applicants should be comfortable working from both the Danbury, CT and Rhinebeck, NY offices as needed in addition to work-day travel to clients.
