CORPORATE CONTROLLER

Founded in 1967, Graf Air Freight is a leading provider of air and ground transportation and related logistic services. The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing and directing all the financial and accounting functions for multiple facilities. Must be a hands on manager and able to succeed in a multi dimensional role.  This individual is an integral part of the senior management team and provides leadership for the financial activities of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Overall responsibility for all accounting including ADP payroll, A/P, A/R, G/L, bank reconciliation and financial reporting. Banking relations and managing cash balances. Maintaining proprietary freight software application utilizing Microsoft Access. Coordinating Human Resource policies and functions as the management representative to resolve employee issues Manage basic IT network administration duties and coordinate with outside IT vendors. Maintaining and improving the accounting systems and general ledger reporting. Manage employee benefits plan and Business insurance. Develop, coach and manage accounting and administration staff. Meet internal and external reporting requirements and deadlines. Identify and implement financial processes and procedures that will increase operating efficiencies and profitability. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.

REQUIREMENTSBachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA and/or MBA preferred. Five to seven years financial analysis and management accounting experience; preferably in the Logistics or Freight Forwarding Industries.  Experience with G/L systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel & Access including Access Visual Basic. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills. Capable of independent and critical thought. Pro active approach to problem solving and resolution. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Previous experience working in an entrepreneurial environment preferred.
