 We are currently seeking a Controls Manager for a project located in the Los Angeles area. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Â
 Manages, integrates, coordinates and reviews the work of the Program Controls group to develop, implement, feed, reconcile, and maintain valuable Program Control Databases and reports at the Facilities Services Office. Manage and ensure the reconciliation of Program Controls Data with District financial systems, including IFS and PICK, coordinating with Facilities Support Services and ITD. Coordinate and provide leadership to Project Managers/Construction Managers and Facilities Directors to establish and maintain data coding structures, project control tools, and quality data for budgets, contracts, change orders, trends and actual costs. Motivate and evaluate performance of Program Controls personnel and Region Project Controls personnel. Develop, implement and maintain a management reporting data warehouse to produce valuable program controls reports and data. Perform program schedule QA/QC and updates in accordance with established policies and procedures. Perform QA/QC of contractor schedule submittals for conformance with the contract:
-    Review Contractor’s Baseline schedule submissions and provide narrative.
-    Review Contractor’s monthly updates and produce reports regarding progress, change in logic/durations, critical path, manpower usage, status of major milestones, projections, cost loading and Earned Value, and monthly progress billing.Walk the jobs, checking the contractor’s weekly and monthly progress and provide reports to the project OAR and upper management. Attend weekly job meetings.  Track and be involved in project issues as they relate to project schedules.  Perform schedule impact analysis for contractor change orders and conduct schedule negotiations for contractor change orders.  Prepare reports as needed and directed by Management.  Perform related duties as assigned.Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related field with a Masters degree in Business Administration or Construction Management strongly preferred.
6 years experience in Project Controls work, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports.
6 years experience as a Project Controls Manager on Government Agency Building or Infrastructure Engineering and Construction projects, using state-of-the-art productivity and Project Control tools such as Microsoft Office, Primavera Project Planner, Timberline Gold Job Cost & Accounting System, Primavera Expedition, etc.
