Job Purpose:
Establishes and maintains overall financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions, and insuring current reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for accounts/ general ledger and recording for all transactions. Produces financial statements and prepare reports and summaries for management. Prepares bank deposits, verifies and balances receipts, and send cash, checks, or other forms of payment to the bank. Handles payroll, make purchases, prepare invoices and keep track of overdue accounts. Tracking and reporting for contract and grant budget income and expenses.
* Develops and/or maintains system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
* Maintains accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
* Balances accounts by reconciling entries.
* Maintains and balances general ledger
* Maintains historical records
* Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
* Organize, track and conduct payment of all bills.
* Tracking and collection for all invoiced work.
* Communication with internal and external customers to provide information and technical support as needed.
* Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
2 years college course completion and 3 years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience as well strong knowledge of QuickBooks. Account Reconciliation, Payroll, Intermediate Bank Reconciliations, Accruals, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Microsoft Excel, and online ordering.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, coursework in bookkeeping and/or accounting, 5+ years experience
