The firm has consistently been ranked in the top 25 firms in Bowman’s Best of the Best accounting firms for seven of the past eight years.The firm’s expertise ranges from manufacturing, agriculture and food processing to tax services, valuation, investment advisory, retirement planning, and strategic and operational advisory services in 40 states and 10 foreign countries.Audit Manager Responsibilities:• Monitors workloads to ensure adequate work for all team members.• Oversees training and mentoring activities for staff members.• Reviews financial statements and work papers prior to submission to partner in charge.• Serves as a liaison between partners, clients and staff.• Researches accounting and auditing questions raised by clients and staff.• Participates in practice development and recruiting activities.• Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to new or existing clients and develop network for future practice development opportunities.• Conduct and supervise field work on multiple engagements.• Supervise senior and staff accountants.• Inform engagement director of status of engagement and other pertinent aspects of engagement.• Maintain client contact throughout the year as is required by the nature of the engagement.• Plan engagements to achieve quality goals and reduce time required to perform and engagement.• Review and analyze client internal control and prepare letters on internal control.• Assist in the appropriate billing and collection fees from clients.
