Audit & IT Manager

Our client is seeking an Internal Audit Manager and an IT Audit Manager to lead their risk based, audit, assurance and advisory function.  Both positions will report directly to the Chief Audit Executive and will have significant opportunities to interact with senior management. The Internal Audit Manager will initially lead the implementation of the Model Audit Rule (Sarbanes-Oxley equivalent for non-public insurance companies) at corporate headquarters and the affiliated companies. This position shall help define objectives, complete process analyses, identify and quantify opportunities for improvement and facilitate change.  The successful candidate will be a key player in an enterprise risk management environment and should exhibit strong leadership presence, technical awareness, business acumen and audit maturity.The Manager shall be involved with several key corporate initiatives including; the implementation of an Enterprise Risk Management process; the Model Audit Rule (“Sarbanes-Oxleyâ€�); and a pro-active risk, controls and process improvement audit and advisory function. 



 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related filed of study. An MBA, MS, MPA or equivalent graduate degree is a real plus. CPA, CIA, CISA and/or equivalent professional certification is required.Minimum of 8 years combined experience in public accounting and/ or internal audit in a complex and diversified company. Knowledge of COSO, Sarbanes-Oxley, CoBIT and ISACA and IIA Professional Standards. Project Management experience in a matrix management environment.

 

The IT Manager will lead the efforts for identifying, assessing and advising the enterprise on IT risks, controls and best practices. Work in collaboration with the business to ensure the effective and efficient use of emerging technologies, practices and standards and align IT assurance and advisory efforts with the companies’ strategies and related risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing IT audit findings and corrective actions plans for inclusion in all Audit Committee Reports on significant risk exposures and control issues, management and corporate governance issues, and other matters as needed or requested.Additionally, this position will develop and maintain an on-going IT quality assurance and improvement program. This shall include periodic internal and external quality assessments and internal monitoring and reporting mechanisms.

 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, and/ or accounting or related field of study. An MS, MBA or equivalent educational experience is a real plus. CISA, CPA, CIA and/or equivalent professional certification is required.Minimum of 8 to 10 years combined experience in public accounting and/ or IT audit experience in a complex and diversified health care/health insurance company or related areas. Knowledge of CoBIT, COSO, Sarbanes-Oxley and ISACA and IIA Professional Standards.
