Audit Account Manager

Job Responsibilities:

We’re seeking a team player with a strong work ethic and excellent professional skills for the role of Audit Manager. This professional will supervise senior and staff accountants and have responsibility for the supervision and management of multiple client audit and accounting engagements. This includes engagement planning, budgeting, scheduling, and financial reporting for audits, reviews and other financial engagements. A manager has responsibility for the development and motivation of all engagement staff and to provide career guidance and mentoring. They will also be a client advisor, demonstrate industry expertise, leverage client relationships and promote the expansion of services. A manager is expected to continue to develop industry and technical expertise in assurance and business advisory areas, manage multiple client relationships and ensure client satisfaction through high quality service deliverables. S/he will be expected to share ideas with other staff and support critical reasoning with proper firm and professional standards. The Firm’s client base includes manufacturing, distribution and service industries, financial services and not-for-profit entities. Travel is generally limited to Portland metro area with occasional out of town work.

Job Requirements:

Must have ability to establish audit objectives and scope of work, establish the engagement budget and take responsibility for the overall execution of the audit project through wrap-up and final report delivery. Candidate must be able to maintain a strong client focus by effectively serving client needs, developing productive working relationships with client personnel and not being afraid to do the “dirty� work in completing the project. We’re looking for individuals who foster teamwork and innovation and share knowledge with team members to enhance service delivery. Successful candidate will have proven technical expertise and experience with middle-market businesses. Looking for a ‘hands on’ individual in both work style and client relationship skills who has strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Minimum of 5-7 years experience in public accounting, preferably in a large local/regional or Big 4 firm. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and CPA required
