Associate/Senior Associate - International Executive Services

We are currently seeking a Tax Associate/Senior Associate to join us in our Boston office. KPMG's International Executive Services (IES) practice strives to help companies as they work to manage their international assignment programs. When our clients send their employees on international assignment, KPMG professionals provide proactive planning ideas and advise clients on international human resources and tax best practices. IES provides compliance, advisory, and administration services to help support our clients' businesses and assignees. Responsibilities for both positions: * Prepare written correspondence for companies with expatriate employees * Assist in conducting tax research relating to expatriate employees * Prepare miscellaneous tax, payroll and international assignment cost projection calculations * Prepare tax returns, equalization calculations and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriate employees * Prepare draft correspondence with the IRS or other state taxing authorities in relation to tax notices and/or audits for expatriates * Review U.S. payroll reporting, withholding for wages paid to expatriate employees for accuracy including annual compensation statements Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate: * Conduct meetings with expatriate taxpayers in relation to gathering the required data to complete their tax returns * Review and analyze tax and accounting information Qualifications for both positions: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university * One year of experience in expatriate or individual tax * Prior experience at an accounting firm * Working towards a CPA or Enrolled Agent designation * Able to analyze basic tax and accounting information Additional Qualification for Senior Associate: * One additional year of experience in expatriate or individual tax KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
