Associate Director, Accounting
America’s largest, non-profit HMO is seeking an Associate Director of Accounting for one of its largest divisions located in downtown Oakland, CA. This position will be responsible for managing recording of financial transactions into the GL, monitoring and maintaining policies and procedures, and recruiting, coaching and developing accounting staff performance.
Ideal candidates will possess qualifications including the following:BS/BA degree in Business/Accounting or Finance or equivalent experienceCPACMA/CIA or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of GAAPÂ Strong research skills of accounting issues from various databasesAbility to provide solid and clear guidance and recommendation on accounting issues Strong supervisory, managerial, and coaching experience Strong focus on process improvements Strong multitasking ability
