Assistant Corporate Controller
Public Accounting and CPA are a Must have.
1. Manage consolidated financial reporting, including an excellent understanding and knowledge of GAAP, to ensure compliance and provide company oversight to subsidiaries.
2. Manage financial planning, accounting and reporting for the corporate entity.
3. Manage financial planning, accounting, and reporting.
4. Supervise a financial reporting staff of two, including the senior reporting accountant and a staff accountant.
5. Oversee the management of consolidated shared services, including payroll, accounts payable, sales and use tax, and fixed assets. The shared services function includes a staff of 30+ employees.
6. Be an exemplary leader and mentor. Work closely with the staff, create a positive environment, and provide the coaching and motivation necessary for personal success.
7. Assist the corporate controller in ensuring effective internal controls throughout the entire organization, and in maintaining related documentation.
8. Assist in preparation of quarterly board meeting package for CFO.
9. Assist in determination and management of corporate’s reporting requirements from the operating subsidiaries, and assist them in understanding and complying with GAAP reporting.
10. Act as primary contact and coordinator for the annual external financial audit.
11. Prepare the annual audit financial report and related footnotes.
12. Preparation of financial statements, including related analyses and variance commentaries.
13. Provide financial reporting and budgeting support to corporate department heads.
14. Oversee stock, investment, debt, and tax accounting for the corporate entity.
15. Provide primary finance support for in analyzing new projects, including business proformas, as well as, creating internal control structures for new business ventures.
16. Complete various projects/assignments as directed by corporate controller and corporate CFO.
