Area Credit Manager

ProBuild is a high-growth, performance oriented company serving the needs of the professional single family home builder by providing key lumber and building material supplies. ProBuild is the largest supplier of lumber and building materials in the nation. Major contributing factor to the company's growth trend has been the efficient utilization and management of its largest asset, accounts receivable. ** Applicants must posses a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated regional or multi-site management experience over credit department. Background/Work History with Manufacturing, Distribution, Transportation or related industry highly preferred. We are looking for someone who can lead and drive our credit process. An Area Credit Manager must have strong leadership and management skills to not only work with customers and sales representative on a daily basis, but also guide staff members in a team oriented approach to effective collection practices. A successful Area Credit Manager will be able to: - Analyze financial statements and evaluate the credit worthiness of prospective customers - Establish credit lines that manage credit risk exposure to the company - Develop a team oriented approach to working with the collections staff, sales representatives and management to attain the highest possible collections performance possible - Address delinquent customers in a timely and professional manner while reducing risk to the company through account holds, cash payments, liens, and any other means appropriate under the circumstances - Lead credit and billing automation projects to increase process efficiencies - Interact with attorneys and third-party collection agencies to ensure their timely collection of delinquent accounts and to also evaluate settlement offers - Work with staff members to generate and distribute invoices/statements in an expeditious manner - Provide other support functions for the Area Manager necessary to effectively operate within the market such as payroll reporting - Produce effective collection results as evidenced by DSO and percent current performance metrics - Possess strong people, analytical and problem solving skills - Work on special projects, company directed initiatives, and added responsibilities as directed A minimum of five (10) years related work experience required. Experience in leading and managing a team of employees. Bachelors degree preferred.
