We are currently seeking an Architecture and Construction Project Manager to join us in our Montvale office. Responsibilities: - Oversee construction process, prepare General Contractor Request for Proposal (RFP), Review Contractor RFP's, conduct contractor interviews, prepare owner general contractor contract and general conditions - Review contract with the Director of Architecture and Construction, and negotiate and execute contract, oversee project construction administration and negotiate requests for extras, manage contract - Manage architectural process, programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding and construction - Process various project related costs for construction, advisors, and national vendors - Track and monitor budgets. - Review architectural documents for compliance with firm standards and for consistency with the intent of design - Oversee design, procurement and installation of furniture supplied by national furniture vendor - Help to ensure that design is consistent with KPMG standards, costs are appropriate and review furniture invoices - Establish project budget for review of Director of Architecture and approval of National Directors of Real Estate and regional Area Directors - Provide project costs, oversee periodic updating and tracking of budget - Manage National Security Consultant, negotiate Security Consultant fee, recommend appropriate levels of coverage/equipment for project, help to ensure that Security Consultant work is coordinated with overall project schedule Qualifications: - Five or more years of professional experience as an Architecture or Construction Engineer - Three years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction field - Bachelor's degree in Architecture/Engineering from an accredited college/university or related experience - Able to travel domestically forty percent of the time - Strong negotiating skills - Able to work independently with minimal supervision - Able to create cohesive teams that work together in spite of different goals - Strong knowledge of construction practices and industry - Strong knowledge of furniture and furniture systems - Strong knowledge of standard architectural and engineering practices KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
