Legal Entity Control is responsible for the financial statements of the various BarCap entities, as well as to ensure that all Group data is provided.

Main Function

This role will be responsible for the following functions:

* Having the primary responsibility for closing the books of several entities as well as all associated reporting.

* Acting as the main point of contact for all questions/issues.

Main Duties

* Monthly journal entries for several entities

* Monthly, quarterly & annual disclosures to Global Financial Reporting as well as Group Finance

* Ensure that all intercompany accounts are reconciled & all reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner

* Reconcile all relevant general ledger accounts

Person Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Education:

* Undergraduate degree in accounting, business or finance

Experience:

* 2+ years financial services experience

Preferred Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge:

* Demonstrated skills in MS Excel, MS Access and SAP

* Working knowledge of relevant accounting standards under both US GAAP & IFRS
