We are seeking a Senior Manager with actuarial expertise to develop and administer a program of audit coverage for AIG’s life insurance actuarial activities. The position is with the Internal Audit team in Houston, Texas, and will provide support for worldwide life actuarial audit activities.The position is Senior Manager, AIG Internal Audit Division.The position reports to the Director, Life Business, North America (Houston) and to the Director, Global AIG Life Co. (UK)Responsibilities include (1) continually assessing risk and internal controls within the actuarial function of AIG’s life insurance businesses, (2) working with the audit staff to monitor AIG’s reserving policies and procedures, new product pricing, DAC, etc., (3) providing direction to the team on actuarial issues, (4) oversight and timely completion of audit deliverables, and (5) enhancing audit staff development through training.The successful applicant will work with business clients in a consulting role to add value and resolve critical problems and issues, build close relationships with clients but be able to write clear reports highlighting issues found while standing ground with the clients, be able to work with colleagues as part of the audit team, and be able to work independently without excessive guidance from Directors. This position will interface with various AIG subsidiaries and will interact with other colleagues of the 500+ staff of the worldwide AIG Internal Audit Division.
