Accounts Receivable manager- Healthcare
Job Purpose:
Â
Lead pharmacy business office collection department and manage staff to insure timely payment of outstanding claims.
Â
Duties:
Â
* Meets accounts receivable operational standards through monthly analysis of accounts receivable data, identifying and resolving problems with 3rd party payors; proposing/implementing system improvements.
Â
* Meets accounts receivable financial standards by providing detailed monthly accounts receivable data; documenting action taken to procure payment on aged claims and insure accounts receivable is reported accurately.

Â
* Accomplishes accounts receivable human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, and scheduling employees while communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Â
*Requires interaction with off site financial department. May require occasional travel within Southern California for in person meetings with 3rd party payers.

Skills/Qualifications:
Â
In depth knowledge of billing and collection from 3rd party payers in healthcare industry and relationship between IPA's, Healthplans and medical groups as it relates to division of financial responsibility.
Â
Demonstrated ability to manage staff.
Â
General knowledge of  Accounting, managing processes, and data base manipulation skills
