Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist

Chicago law firm seeks full-time accounting assistant with focus on accounts receivable and assistance in billing and accounts payable.  Responsibilities for a/r include managing the collections of accounts receivable; input of cash receipts, review and track outstanding a/r with follow-up with clients and internally.  Responsibilities for billing include assisting in processing client pre-bills and reports; Process time/ expenses transfers, edit pre-bills, write-offs, generate draft and final bills, review and process manual bills; electronically submit e-billed invoices and follow-up on invoices that have been rejected electronically or reduced; and track monthly retainer applications.  Accounts payable responsibilities include processing payables for payment and client expenses. 

 

Requirements

4+ years of related job experience in law firm; experience with E-Billing; knowledge of MS Office applications - Word, Outlook and Excel; excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills required; strong organizational skills; and snowledge of Time Matters and Time Slips a plus but not required.
