This entry-level Accounts Receivable Clerk requires knowledge with general accounting/office practices and procedures.  REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Uses PC, typewriter, calculator, and other office equipment. Experience with routine clerical functions and assisting with accounting tasks following established policies.  POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Posting daily receipts to the accounts receivable sub ledger. Preparation of the daily deposit. Issuing credit/debit memos to settle invoices. Balancing posting and deposit detail to summary documentation. Submitting posting journal and deposit to Controller for approval. Performing a variety of clerical or administrative tasks in support of a contract or an area(s) within the accounting department such as payroll, accounts payable/accounts receivable, or fixed assets. Tasks may include keying data into an automated system and verifying input; processing invoices, expense reports, journal entries, time reports, purchase orders; and/or other office support functions as necessary.  REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Behavior Characteristics: Must be able to work with limited supervision. Must be reliable and punctual.
