Accounting Services Manager

We currently have an opening for an Accounting Services Manager with 5-8 years of corporate or public accounting experience in our Reston, VA headquarters.

Accounting Services professionals work closely with a variety of clients, including non-profit organizations and corporations, providing general accounting services, CFO services and special project consulting services including:

General accounting services Annual statement preparation Investment reporting and reconciliations Preparation of tax returns and annual reports, such as personal property and sales & use Reconciliation of accounts, including preparation of bank reconciliations Preparation of financial analyses, including charts and graphs Preparation of financial statements Cash receipts processing and receivables management including invoicing Payroll processing Cash disbursement processing and payables management Meeting and conference registration processing

CFO services Monthly review of financial position with CEO Review and management of banking and investment relationships and services Cash management Establishment and documentation of policies and procedures Preparation of budgets and management of the budget cycle Presentations to board of directors and other governing bodies

Special project consulting services Due diligence for mergers and acquisitions Investment policy implementation and review RFP preparation & selection of financial service providers Financial projections Lease vs. buy analysis

Accounting Services professionals must be able to interact closely with clients to provide innovative business, consulting and accounting expertise; work closely with firm executives and staff on client management and participate in practice development, recruiting and business development activities. 

Qualifications:BS or BBA in Accounting or FinanceMinimum 5 years experience in corporate or public accounting and an interest providing accounting services in a client-focused environmentExperience with Solomon, Prosystems, CCH, Quickbooks or RIA a plusStrong communication, organization, research and writing skillsCPA certification or progress towards credential a plusNon-profit or insurance accounting experience a plus
