Accounting Manager Duties & ResponsibilitiesInterpret and apply all new and existing accounting pronouncements within the company.Consult with management on the impact of accounting changes.Lead teams to quantify impacts.Prepare position papers to communicate with external auditors.Train internal accounting staff on the implementation of new policies.

 


Essential Accounting Manager Skills & CharacteristicsCPA with 5 plus years of combined experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting environmentRequires excellent executive level verbal and written communication skillsRequires strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to manage effective relationships with business unit controllers, external auditors and executive managementMust demonstrate financial leadership qualitiesMust be a forward thinking and ethical executive who proactively addresses issues and implements best practices continuouslyAbility to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform duties
