Accounting Manager

Seaview Boatyard is seeking an organized, detail oriented, highlymotivated individual with excellent customer service skills to serve asa team oriented leader, problem solver and strategic thinker in themanagement of all accounting, finance and administrative activities atone of the Northwest’s premier yacht repair facilities, SeaviewBoatyard West at Shilshole Bay Marina in Seattle, WA. This position is responsible for a wide range of accounting and administrative activities including the following:Accounts Receivable•Preparation accounts receivable invoices for customer work orders•Receipt/posting of customer payments and preparation of bank deposits•Monthly A/R Statements for customers.•Reconciliation of A/R sales accounts and preparation of all supporting data for B&O tax calculation•Generate weekly Flash Reports and deliver to corporate office• Performing site specific month end close activitiesAccounts Payable•Preparation, coding and data entry of accounts payable invoices•Scheduling and payment of vendor invoices – process A/P check runs•Reconciliation of vendor statements monthly•Tracking and reconciliation of credit card charges•Processing of rent, lease, insurance and loan payments – ensure payments are made on schedule•Monthly bank account reconciliationGeneral Ledger•Monthly and quarterly reconciliation of General Ledger accountingincluding WIP accounts, Inventory, Payroll, Employee Advances and otherbalance sheet accounts•Assist the comptroller with researching the source of any account discrepancies/out of balance accountsPayroll and Human Resources•Preparation of bi-weekly payroll, including monitoring of employee payroll deductions•Coordination of employee medical insurance enrollment/benefits•Completion of basic human resource related documentsAdditional Responsibilities:•Providing general support to Operations Managers including assistance with estimating, correspondence andcustomer follow-up•Supervise and provide support to Administrative Assistant in areas all general office workEssential Qualifications:• 3 or more years of relevant work experience• Understanding of accounting principles• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and basic reconciliation• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)•Flexible, detail oriented, team player with initiative with ability to work independently• Strong problem solving, multi-tasking, prioritizing and organizational skills• Excellent communication skills in dealings with clients, vendors, management and co-workers• Ability to supervise, manage and delegate tasks to supporting office staff• Experience in marine or construction industry experience preferredSalary commensurate with experience, comprehensive benefitsincluding medical/dental/vision insurance, profit sharing and 401K.Please send cover letter and resume to Human Resources, 4701 ShilsholeAvenue NW, Seattle, WA 98107; fax (206) 789-3176 or email to:denise@seaviewboatyard.com.Please visit our website: www.seaviewboatyard.com for further information about the company.
