Accounting: Accountant

The Accountant will work within the Finance department and report to the Controller.
Required Skills

* Reconcile bank accounts
* Perform monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
* Responsible for reconciling the unbilled project expenses
* Book G/L journal entries as required
* Calculate monthly client rebate
* General accounting support as needed
* Assist accounts receivable and payable function as needed
* Assist with special financial and operational projects and analysis

Required Experience

* Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry experience with exposure to project accounting systems
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to prioritize among various tasks
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Experience working in a structured environment having both set deliverables and unscheduled projects
* Strong written and oral communications skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP(Great Plains) and FRx desirable and familiarity with project accounting software is a plus
* Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance
* Minimum 2 - 3 years relevant accounting experience required
