Accountant - Manufacturing Company
Middle-market manufacturing company is seeking an experienced, skilled accountant with strong financial skills and leadership qualities.Fast-paced, growth environment.Position can lead to a supervisory position based on performance and skills.
 Key responsibilities and duties  Prepare and manage the monthly closing process. Provide financial statements and expenses by the agreed closing dates. Perform closing reconciliations.  Maintain general ledger. Post journal entries. Maintain fixed asset reports. Coordinate weekly financial reports and operating plan tracking summary. Follow-up with managers on issues.  Provide margin, cost of goods, and operating expense analysis.  Help prepare the annual operating budget process and updates.  Support the Company's financial control requirements and procedures. Participate on cross-functional project teams as assigned.
 Key qualities and skills  Highly-organized individual. Is reliable on meeting deadlines. Able to prioritize tasks to meet business objectives.  Self-motivated. Does not require a high level of supervision.  Superior quantitative skills.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to get to root cause of cost and margin issues.  Solid management accounting skills.  Good interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal). Able to communicate and work effectively with employees throughout the organization. Â
 Minimum qualifications  Five years accounting experience. 3 years work experience with a manufacturing company.  General ledger and financial closing experience. Preparation of financial statements - p&l, balance sheet, cash flow. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Or a current accounting certification (i.e. CPA, CMA). Sound knowledge of GAAP principles and applications. Advanced computer skills - excel, ERP accounting systems.
