Accountant II
Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc., one of the nation's premier grocery retailers, is searching for an Accountant II to be located at their home office in Milwaukee, WI. Roundy's Supermarkets today is a company of 21,000 employees, approaching $4 billion in annual sales, and undergoing tremendous growth. Company-owned and operated supermarkets include Pick 'n Save stores and Copps Food Centers in Wisconsin and Rainbow Foods in Minnesota.
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) in accounting from four-year college or university; Three to Five years accounting experienceSupervisory Experience is a plusKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel and Word) with special emphasis on MS AccessKnowledge of GAAP is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Performs accounting, budgeting, general ledger account reconciliation and variance comments.Produces report compilations for Operational Groups.
· Updates and maintains Microsoft Access Databases.
· Prepares account analyses and journal entries.
· Assists in budget preparation and analyses.Develops procedures and accounting for Special Promotions.Tracking and accounting for returned check, business credit card transactions and other receivablesApplication of basic accounting techniques and procedures to routine transactionsCompletes special projects.
· Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and retail stores.
WORK SCHEDULE: Salaried Position Monday – Friday, 40+ hours per week (dependent of needs of department)
