Centene Corporation is a leading multi-line healthcare enterprise that provides managed-care programs and related services to individuals receiving benefits under Medicaid, including Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).Position Purpose: To maintain accurate financial records, prepare monthly financial statements and participate in special projects. Knowledge/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, a comparable discipline or comparable experience. From zero to two years experience in public accounting or the health care industry. Position Responsibilities:• Prepare the monthly financial statement-reporting package.• Evaluate variances, account balances, etc.• Account for cash through cash deposits, cash applications, collection and cash forecasting. • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.• Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.Accounting
