As an Assistant Controller at Dean Health Plan you'll manage the day-to-day accounting operations, supervising the preparation of the financial statements and supporting schedules for Dean Health Insurance and its related entities; overseeing the accounting and reporting for commissions, purchasing, payables, fixed assets, and risk pools while developing and maintaining a strong internal control environment. We’ll rely on your accounting knowledge and analytical ability to provide management with accurate and timely financial information and lead divisional projects. You will have interaction with other divisions across the company as you assist them by providing general accounting support and responding to specific requests for information.

Position Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Accounting / Finance. 8 years of progressive experience, including prior management experience. Demonstrated ability to think analytically. Strong communication and organizational skills. Thorough knowledge of both Statutory and GAAP requirements. Demonstrated ability to research technical accounting matters. Ability to meet deadlines. CPA preferred.
