ASSISTANT CONTROLLER/MANUFACTURING CALL (630)955-9117Description: Our client, located in Des Plaines IL, a highly profitable, growth-oriented contract packager has an IMMEDIATE need for an Assistant Controller to join their Financial team. Our client offers a congenial business casual work environment as well as competitive salary and benefits.Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties:Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs.Analyzing inventory costs and period end balances as well as assisting with physical inventories.Analyzing financial information detailing assets, liabilities, income and expenses.Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for senior managers.Assisting in the annual budget process.Preparing sales, operating income and cash forecasts.Assisting in the completion of year-end external audit.Updating account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and analysis to budget for income statement accounts.Recording cost information for use in controlling expendituresCompleting other duties as assigned.BS OR BA IN ACCOUNTING; CPA preferred, with 3-5 years of Accounting experience, preferable a combination of public accounting and industry.Strong technical accounting and communication skills are also essential.NO RELOCATION EXPENSES ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION.
