ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

Budget Rent a Car of Atlanta, a leader in the transportation industry, is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Manager for our headquarters located in Marietta, GA.  A 4 year College degree in accounting/management related field is required, along with 2-5 years full cycle accounts payable and supervisory experience.

This position does not pay relocation expenses.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all daily activities of an Accounts Payable department consisting of 3 AP Specialists. On a monthly basis, he/she will be responsible for reconciling all AP general ledger accounts, the processing of all monthly and quarterly tax returns, and completing and approving monthly journal entries.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

·  Assist AP Specialists with problem resolution with vendors

·  Manage and train AP specialist to maintain a professional working environment

·  Maintain and propose new ideas as needed

·  Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly sales tax returns

·  Submit bi-weekly and audit monthly TARP submissions

·  Maintain working relations with Budget Corp.

·  Verify and approve monthly journal entries

·  Provide information for posting to the general ledger and for financial statements

·  Assist management with special and on-going projects

·  Maintain and track daily bank balances

·  Prepare time cards and track attendance of AP Specialists

·  Maintain current knowledge and adhere to the guidelines on all company policies and procedures

·  Support a team environment by assisting other departments when needed

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

·  2-5 years full cycle accounts payable experience

·  College degree in accounting/management related field

·  Previous management experience

·  Excellent organizational skills

·  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

·  Strong verbal and written communication skills
